This summer's “Catch A Rising Star” concerts at ASU's Kerr Cultural Center again will pair exciting young “next-generation” jazz musicians with established Valley jazz artists and mentors. Audiences have loved these energy-charged performances because they bring out the best in emerging artists and challenge their veteran counterparts for listener response. The “Catch a Rising Star” series is a great opportunity to become acquainted with some of our finest local jazz artists and to support young up-and-coming players. Make it a cool Wednesday evening family affair.

SAVE THE DATE: Father’s Day, Sunday, June 21, 3-7 p.m.
Scottsdale Plaza Resort Ballroom
featuring: Dennis Rowland & Extreme Decibel Big Band and Young Sounds of Arizona
This dance will be a joint fundraiser for Jazz in AZ and Young Sounds, with net proceeds from ticket sales going to support the educational and scholarship programs of both organizations.
